As a SharePoint engineer and as a Microsoft Partner, I would like to have SharePoint Syntex available – so I could try and test it, and develop my own solutions based on Syntex, and be ready to offer SharePoint Syntex to my clients. I would also like my clients try SharePoint Syntex in their environment before investing in it and buying licenses.
But SharePoint Syntex is a premium service add-on, which means it is not included in Microsoft 365 subscription and must be purchased separately.
According to this message from Sean Squires, Microsoft is going to make Content Center site template available for non-licensed users (currently Syntex is only available for trial or if you already got licenses). So those who want evaluate SharePoint Syntex, see if the model capabilities are going to work…
